 Over 23 years ago, I moved to the US as a young immigrant from Holland, to live the dream. Yes I have a real green card and I speak English! (Still working on grammar and spelling.) After trying to produce Dutch food products for about a year, it became clear that cooking was not my forte. I moved the food manufacturing equipment out of the way and changed the name from "Beckerson Foods" to Bekkers Import Corporation. In 1984, I turned my hobby into my business. We started importing "gray market" BMW's and Mercedes from Europe. More power, lower price, easy sale! Nobody had parts for, nor wanted to service the gray cars. In order to please our customers, we started importing the parts directly from Germany and we opened a service department.
